BetterWall sells authentic museum street banners from around the U.S., allowing museums a small way to raise extra funds and keep these banners from the landfill. I love museum banners and wish I could afford to purchase one, or many, of these beauties.

I’m moving to London in about 2 weeks. This past weekend I celebrated my birthday with a party, the last to be held in my beloved apartment of 3.2 years. The theme was “Homegrown Entertainment/Talent Show” and I used this picture of Los Angeles magazine as the party invite picture. Such a perfect send off from my beloved LA.

Now at LACMA Myths, Legends, and Cultural Renewal: Wagner’s Sources
April 15, 2010–September 26, 2010.
Reinvented and passed on by each generation, myths, legends, and fables have continued to fascinate artists into the modern era. Many of the operatic works of Richard Wagner are deeply rooted in the German and Nordic traditions of folk tales and legends, Goethe drew upon German folklore for his description of the Walpurgisnacht, and the Brothers Grimm drew upon folk traditions in their retelling of popular fairy tales. This exhibition, organized by Timothy O. Benson, curator of LACMA’s Robert Gore Rifkind Center for German Expressionist Studies, explores Germanic myths and legends in various embodiments in the modern era.

A friend just informed me about the Rothko display on now at MOCA. I had no idea, and love Rothko. Thinking about heading there is afternoon with a friend from out of town.

Christopher Russell print, only $35. I love the energy an otherwise simple landscape provides.

I ate at Chablis Food and Wine tonight. It’s kind of amazing, and down Ventura next to a shoe store. This back patio is totally hidden from view. I had the eggplant roulade stuffed with artichoke and cheese, all lightly breaded and fried and atop a bed of couscous and tomato sauce. My typing skills don’t do justice really.

“Beatlesfest, a three day tribute that began five years ago, is proud to be a part of the Twilight Dance Series this summer!  “Abbey Road” will open the night with an acoustic set of the Beatles, followed by Los Angeles based Led Zepagain, as part of the British Invasion.”
I want to try this out. Along with wine tasting on the pier the evening of with Seaside Wine Tasting.

I am going to Seattle for a few days this summer, hoping to try this skirt out. Not much for florals, I love fabric patterns reminiscent of art and geometry.
